The Blackiron works closely with this region’s farmers, ranchers and purveyors in order to give you the freshest and highest quality food and alcohol available. The Blackiron Grill is fortunate enough to be a part of the exclusive Open Prairie Program, which provides us with exceptional beef from this region. Some of the Montana producers we use are: Cross Four Ranch (Miles City), Wulf Ranches (South Dakota), Silver Spur Ranch (Wyoming), Golden West Cattle Company (Washington), Trebinos Tortillas, Simpson Honey Farms, Amaltheia Organic Dairy, Great Grains of Montana, Wheat Montana, Red Lodge Ales, Yellowstone Valley Brewing Company, Yellowstone Cellars, Tongue River Winery and the Beaver Creek Brewery. Our rotisserie is 100% American made and is fired by apple wood. The Blackiron Grill has several interesting features that are easily noticeable. The beams located over the bar were reclaimed from the Old Milwaukee Roundhouse, which was destroyed in a fire. The 1910 steam powered iron bender located at the front of the Blackiron Grill was also reclaimed from the same historic railroad building.
