Lunde was born and raised in Glendive, Montana. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy upon graduating from high school and spent the next 4.5 years ship bound in the Pacific Ocean. After discharge from the service, he attended MSU-Bozeman in the Pre-Med curriculum. He was accepted into the Pacific College of Optometry and graduated in 1984. After one year in Denver working with ophthalmology and starting his own practice, he moved to Miles City and with Dr. Carlo, established the Miles City Vision Clinic in 1986. Dr. Lynn A. Carlo was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and did her undergraduate work at the University of Oregon, receiving a B.S. in visual science in 1980, and her Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1984. After a year in Denver, Colorado, she moved to Miles City, and together with Dr. Lunde, established Miles City Vision Clinic in 1986. Dr. Ashley Watson is a native of Belle Fourche, South Dakota and a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry in 2017. She did her undergraduate studies at University of Minnesota Morris, earning a B.A. in Biology in 2012. Dr. Watson’s areas of interest include dry eyes, medical eye conditions, and specialty contact lenses. In her free time, Dr. Watson enjoys golf, cooking, and hanging out with her basset hound, Izzy. Dr. Laurel Schimelfening, joined our staff in October of 2018, as an optometrist who loves to work with all ages of families, especially pediatric populations. Her special interests also include managing patients with visual symptoms as a result of traumatic and acquired brain injury. Dr. Schimelfening was born in Hettinger, ND and resided in many Great Plains states before completing her undergraduate studies in 2014 at the University of South Dakota with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, and double minors in Interdisciplinary Sciences and Business Administration. She graduated from Pacific University in May 2018 with a Doctorate of Optometry and a concurrent Masters of Education in Vision Functional Learning. In their free time, “Dr. S”, her husband Adam, and their two dogs love to travel, go camping, hiking and bake delicious treats. NotesWe are pleased to welcome you to our practice.
