Jewell Masonry is a small, locally owned, sole proprietorship located in Miles City, Mt and serving all of Eastern Mt.  Jewell Masonry specializes in the design and application of traditional stone masonry as well as manufactured stone veneer, brick and block work.  

Nathan grew up in Miles City, graduating from CCDHS.  He began his apprenticeship in the Masonry trade in early 2004 in the Bozeman/Big Sky area, he has 15 years of experience in the masonry industry.  Craftsmanship and quality are held to the highest standards and are pivotal to what they do.  Jewell Masonry specializes in high quality, natural, custom stonework but is well skilled in all aspects of masonry construction including:

  *Block work (CMU-cinder blocks)

Over the years our passion for this dying trade has continued to grow.  Stone and brick are some of the oldest, most durable building materials in history and we believe they still have a place in today’s construction world.  In our opinion nothing stands out more on a new or old home than some natural stone or brick work.  A rustic fireplace, a focal wall, front entry- way or some columns/pillars will stand out and add more value and curb appeal to one’s home than just about anything.  It immediately gives any home a natural, unique, one of a kind feel to it.  This isn’t to say that Jewell Masonry doesn’t also enjoy working with manufactured stone and thin brick.  It’s amazing how realistic manufactured stone and thin-brick can look when installed properly, only a trained eye could ever tell the difference from real and fake.  A lot of people don’t know that if they have, let’s say a fireplace or some exterior/interior stone veneer that is in a style they don’t care for, as long as the original is made of a natural masonry unit, that original stone or brick can usually be covered up and re-faced with a manufactured stone of a more current style without having to demo and remove the original stone.  The styles of rock as well as the many different ways each style can be installed are endless.  Good stonework has a certain presence about it that really commands attention.  Jewell Masonry is also well trained in restoration/repair work.  Some common projects would be:
